Etsy, Etsy, Etsy!

If you have been paying attention to my social media, you will have noticed a surge in Etsy listings!

One of my big goals for the start of this year is to build up my Etsy shop. I am looking to increase traffic and sales, and through this, I hope to build an art-loving community. So far, this has dominated my free time in 2023! It was a tough start, but I have been lucky to have the guidance of a friend and Etsy expert who has coached me through the changes I should make to existing elements and objectives for future listings/updates.

Thanks, Neringa!

It has been an equally fun and challenging project.

Initially, I wasn’t sure how to start with her ‘assignments,’ but quickly, I realized how much was missing - and goodness, it’s embarrassing. Many of the illustrations that I have always had on hand for craft fairs and artisan festivals had not been included. They are the first illustrations that I share with shops or show if someone wants to see my work. How is it that they were not an option in my Etsy Shop?

Now, many of these well-loved illustrations are making their way to my Etsy shop for the first time EVER.

Need an example?

For the first time ever, you will now find this collection of hummingbirds available online! Goodness…

For those who know my art well, you can only imagine the surge of listings that I will have headed your way (foxes, birds, horses, unicorns, dragons…). There is certainly plenty to work on from my portfolio!

And, not to complicate the issue, but….

I have also been blessed with inspiration lately! It has allowed me to add even more original artwork and illustrations to my shop, such as the illustration below.

This is my newest illustration! In fact, I opted to draw last night rather than work on this update (#priorities). In this illustration, you will see one of the sweetest ways that your kitten will communicate with you. To say “I love you,” cats will slowly blink. Of course, this was inspired by my babies. We blick at each other all day!

If you are not following me on social media (Facebook or Instagram), make sure you do! It is the first place that I will announce new artwork and new listings on Etsy. I am also hoping to get my newsletter up and running again after this major change in platforms. Sign up and stay tuned!

On that note, I hope you have a wonderful week!

Stay warm.

xxx, Kristin
