What I’ve Been Up To

Expanding and updating my website is a project I’ve been sitting on for a long time. I’ve always wanted it to better reflect my art, design, and illustration work — and to support my long‑term goal of expanding my creative business. Lately, I’ve been mapping out what that might look like: what I want to include, what’s missing, and where I want to grow. Eventually I realized I could only plan so much before I needed to start putting the pieces together.

Where to begin was actually an easy assessment. Most of my website didn’t represent what I can do, what I have, or what I’d like to be doing. So over the last few weeks, I’ve started updating it to be a more accurate reflection of my current abilities and offerings.

Design Services »

This felt like the most natural place to start. I trained as a graphic designer during my undergraduate studies, and every job I’ve had since has required those skills — whether through reports, marketing, website updates, social media, or even video editing. (In one role, I had to teach myself how to make YouTube videos!) It’s honestly surprising that until a few days ago, none of this was clearly represented on my site. Just a buried page connected to a buried form.

Not even a portfolio.

Now I have a dedicated space to speak directly to potential clients and explain who I am and what I can do. My portfolios are still in progress, but this has been a great opportunity to gather the wide range of projects I’ve created over the years. Right now, I’m focusing on the work I enjoy most — like streamer branding identities and web design. Both are included, with more to come.

My current goal is to add two additional portfolios to this page, and I’ve already created space for them. First, I want to collect a variety of my graphic projects into one gallery. This will require digging through old files to show the diversity of the work I’ve done for different clients. I haven’t started this part yet, but step one is simple: create the gallery.

The second portfolio will feature another website. I built a website from scratch the other night as an example of my work — about two to three hours of building without using my own images or copy. It was great practice to see what I can accomplish in an evening, and I’m happy with the results. There’s room for tweaking, but that’s the nature of web design.

Looking Ahead

My goal is to expand my little studio to better reflect the breadth of my abilities — starting with art and design. I’m prepared to offer graphic and web design services, and I want my website to clearly reflect those goals.

If you’re interested in partnering with me, my design services page and inquiry form are ready!
